A new version of
"The Wizard of the North" will be staged by the Mercators at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival
Fringe.
The venue is Diverse Attractions at the Lawnmarket (Venue 11) from 9th to 14th
August.
Operatic première
of "When a Man Knows" in London
When
a Man Knows has been adapted as an opera by the London-based contemporary
classical music composer, Robert Hugill. (www.hugill.demon.co.uk).
FifteenB Productions gave a concert performance of the work on Sunday
13th June at St. John's Church, Waterloo, and will perform it again at the
Tête à Tête Opera

The
Spy Who Came in for the Phone was performed by the Anglo Cypriot Theatre
Group at St. John's School Theatre, Episkopi, Cyprus, in April
and will be performed at La
Martiniere Girls' College, Lucknow, India, in July
Awards galore
for "Worst Day" at the 2010 All-England Festival
Southend Drama
Society's production of The Worst Day of My Life
wins the Southend round of the All-England Festival at the
Eastwood Studio Theatre, Eastwood, Essex.
They also won the awards for Best set, Best comedy and Best supporting actor,
and were
nominated in the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and the Adjudicator's
special award categories.

Runner-up, best
actress, best actor nomination, best sound and best lighting at the Dunmore
Festival, and runner-up, best actor and best
actor nomination at the Tubbercurry for KODE Theatre Group with When
a Man Knows at
the All-Ireland One Act Festival.
Spanish, South African
and Canadian Premières
for "Worst Day"
The Worst Day of My Life
received its Spanish première in Malaga on the 25th February, to be followed
by its
South African première in Port Elizabeth on the 20th of May and its Canadian première
in Richmond, British Columbia on the 18th of September.

Club's production of A Fine Gentleman appeared at the
National Finals
of the SCDA One Act Festival in Edinburgh at the end of April.

Goldfields Repertory Club in

Dramatic Association presented an outdoor production
of Perfect Partners on the French Riviera in

Five trophies

Renfrewshire Young Farmers
Club are winners of the 2007 Clyde & Central District round of the
YFC Drama Festival and also take the best actor and best actress awards. At the
West
Region Festival they are runners up and again take the best actress award.
